    R-Urban promotes the regeneration of urban land in deprived neighbourhoods, based on eco-designed reversible facilities. The R-Urban hubs are built mostly from locally sourced and/or recycled materials. They offer cultivation plots, training programs and cooking sessions using food grown onsite. By changing lifestyles on a local scale, fostering citizen initiative and participation, the R-Urban strategy creates social and ecological value while contributing to a wider ecological transition.

    bio & co farm is a project of Ateliere Fără Frontiere, a non-profit association whose mission is to support disadvantaged people in social and professional integration workshops for their rehabilitation and reintegration into society and the labor market. The farm is located in the village of Ciocănari in Dâmbovița County, which allows the weekly distribution of vegetables in short circuit, directly to subscribers, in a weekly basket that contains 8-9 varieties of organic vegetables.

In the last 3 years we hiked the entire Sentiero Italia (world’s longest trek) in order to promote this incredible heritage with an original format based on real time storytelling, professional documentation of the whole trail and… active participation: as in the Forrest Gump movie, we invited the public to walk with us, giving life to a collective, grassroot experience which helped turn the spotlight on the Sentiero Italia.

    Quinta do Pisão Nature park - A landscape-scale conservation project that links wildlife and people

    Quinta do Pisão is part of the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, which belongs to the Natura 2000 network, and is the redevelopment of abandoned agricultural land into a working farm and large public park offering walking and cycling paths, as well as a range of events based around sustainable tourism. Since the changes were made to Quinta do Pisão, local biodiversity has increased, and local people as well as visitors, primarily from Lisbon, increasingly use the space for recreation.

    ciAsa Aqua Bad Cortina - "After the storm"

    The ciAsa (Rhaeto-Romanic for house) is a high-alpine family home in South Tyrol's St. Vigil, surrounded by the Dolomites of Val Badia and built entirely from wood which fell during heavy storms. Making use of what nature provided formed a maxim throughout the project, aiming for a reconnection with nature and strongly involving people from the village with their knowledge, passion and abilities. The house waives insulation materials and synthetics, while every surface was left untreated.

    Migration of Matter - How can design express the evolving symbiosis between humans and plants

    Today, the Earth's biodiversity is being lost at an alarming rate. By embodying elements of lesser known plant species, our project can highlight this issue and increase knowledge of the natural world. Each 3D printed clay artefact tells a unique story. Aesthetically, we take inspiration from little known, weird and wonderful plants and fungi by 3D scanning them and giving new life through parametric design using local clays and pigments from the same regions as the objects we re-imagine.

    Lamia Santolina (Apulia, Italy) is a space of research, a residency center for art and earth that questions through artistic practice the ecosystemic relationships of the environment.  The garden has more than 400 varieties of endemic and Mediterranean drought-resistant plants. Built in lime and hemp, the studio is reached by a natural path. The oblique and soft angles, the white lime, suggest the place of thought.
